Calgary, AB – Adam Brandt scored four goals including his fourth goal of the season with 3:16 remaining in the third period and and added two assists to lift the Blazers to an 8-7 conquest over the Icemen at Frank McCool on Friday.

Capping off the scoring for the Blazers was Josh Clements and Alex Langley, Travis Rohl and Stephen Lyons contributing with a goal each. Brent Rauch. Goaltender Jake Mandin picked up the win for the Blazers giving up seven goals.

Sniping for the Icemen was Justin Hill and Cayden Shmyr with a pair of goals each, Mitch Chartrand, Evan Michalchuk and Aaron Pepin each tallying single markers. Steve Price added three assists and Matthew Hewat added two assists. Goaltender Nathan VanGelder surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Icemen.

The Icemen jumped out to a 7-3 lead when Shmyr scored his third of the season with 7:15 left in the third period but Rohl responded for the Blazers with his third of the season to start the rally.

With the win, the Blazers improve to 2-1-0-0 while the Icemen fall to 2-1-0-0.
