Calgary, AB – Steve Perry scored a hat-trick and added an assist to spark the Mustangs to an 8-5 win over the Colts at Southland on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Mustangs was Tyson Walker and Aaron Merkosky, Michael Lausch, Darryl MacDonald and Braydon Hart each adding single goals. Walker added five assists and Merkosky added two assists. Goaltender JF Voyer picked up the victory for the Mustangs giving up five goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Colts was Jordan Cassley with a hat-trick and Darren McCutcheon with two goals. Nick Hayward added three assists, Tyler Wiebe and Adam Timmer each added two assists. Goaltender Wesley Kitchen surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Colts.

With the victory, the Mustangs improve to 2-0-0-0 while the Colts fall to 1-1-0-0.
