Calgary, AB – Charles Abbott scored a hat-trick and added three assists to lift the Kings to an 11-7 clobbering over the Schooners at Frank McCool on Friday.

Capping off the scoring for the Kings was Brian Ceelen with a hat-trick, Ryan Richards with two goals, Gord Matheson and Dustin Yeager and Richard Smythe contributing with a goal each. Richards added five assists, Matheson. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm picked up the win for the Kings giving up seven goals.

Sniping for the Schooners was Mathew Popowich with four strikes and Nick MacDonald, Wade Snook and Pat Cantlon each tallying single markers. Popowich, MacDonald and Nick Behrend each added two assists. Goaltender Brad Lowe surrendered 11 goals in the loss for the Schooners.

With the win, the Kings improve to 8-14-2-0 while the Schooners fall to 12-11-1-0.
