Calgary, AB – Devon Downey scored two goals and added an assist to help fuel the Blackout to a 7-5 win over the Ducks 3 at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Blackout was Steve Holford and Steven Chaffin with a pair of goals each and Jordan Simard with a single tally. Jordan Vine added three assists, Simard and Nathan Wood each added two assists. Goaltender Chase Simard picked up the win for the Blackout giving up five goals.

Striking for the Ducks 3 was Colby Mooney with two goals and Mike Buydens, Samuel Reid and Mathew Lafrance chipping in with a goal each. Buydens added two assists. Goaltender Cole Currie surrendered six goals in the loss for the Ducks 3.

Downey added an empty-netter with 0:21 left in the third period to seal the win for the Blackout.

With the win, the Blackout improve to 9-12-1-0 while the Ducks 3 fall to 6-15-1-0.
