Calgary, AB – Cameron Shorrock scored two goals and added an assist to fuel The Herd to a 9-7 conquest over the Goldenhawks at Optimist on Saturday.

Capping off the scoring for The Herd was Bryce Salverda with two goals and Tyler Witzke, Mitchell Wolfe, Bryan Weber, Kyle Fry and Owen Guenter contributing with a goal each. Witzke, Wolfe and Connor Taylor each added three assists and Dylan Wenzel added two assists. Goaltender Devin Reagan picked up the win for The Herd giving up seven goals.

The win snapped The Herd's three-game losing skid.

Sniping for the Goldenhawks was Dennis Hall with two goals and Austin Smith, Kurt Thorner, Jay Bell, Austin Warkentin and Cory Fraser each tallying single markers. Smith and Cole Percifield each added three assists, Bell and Thorner each added two assists. Goaltender Nik Bregeda surrendered nine goals in the loss for the Goldenhawks.

The setback halted the Goldenhawks' three-game winning streak.

With the win, The Herd improve to 4-9-1-0 while the Goldenhawks fall to 9-5-0-0.
