Calgary, AB – Dan Warkentin scored a hat-trick and added an assist to fuel the Goldenhawks to a 10-4 thrashing over the Beefcakes at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Capping off the scoring for the Goldenhawks was Cory Fraser and Dennis Hall with a pair of goals each and Jaime Clague, Austin Smith and Kurt Thorner contributing with a goal each. Clague added four assists, Fraser and Cole Percifield each added three assists and Hall added two assists. Goaltender Nik Bregeda picked up the win for the Goldenhawks giving up four goals.

Sniping for the Beefcakes was Jeff Sapieha, Matthew Vanderberg, Jamie Hunt and Garrick Perry each tallying single markers. Sapieha added two assists. Goaltender Broedy Gaschler surrendered 10 goals in the loss for the Beefcakes.

With the win, the Goldenhawks improve to 2-2-0-0 while the Beefcakes fall to 2-1-1-0.
