Calgary, AB – Brett Switzer scored a hat-trick and added two assists as the Bears extended its winning streak to five games with a 11-4 whipping over the Beefcakes at Optimist on Sunday.

Capping off the scoring for the Bears was Nic Nolet, Mike Winnitoy and Troy Miller with a pair of goals each, Breyden Decock and Ryley Bosman each tallying single markers. Nolet and Decock each added four assists, Winnitoy and Curtis De Bruyn each added three assists, Switzer, Bosman, Tyler Yamashiro and Dustin Gilbert each added two assists. Goaltender Scott Bowles picked up the victory for the Bears giving up four goals.

Finding the twine for the Beefcakes was Garrick Perry with two goals and Ryan Wales and Fraser Grant chipping in with a goal each. Matthew Vanderberg and Kevin Robertson each added two assists. Goaltender Breton Trask surrendered 11 goals in the loss for the Beefcakes.

With the victory, the Bears improve to 18-2-1-0 while the Beefcakes fall to 11-7-3-0.
