Calgary, AB – Samuel Coyne scored a hat-trick and added an assist as the Bears erased a three-goal deficit and extended its winning streak to three games with a 13-10 win over the Ducks 1 at George Blundun on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Bears was Kevin Walrod with a hat-trick, Pierre Girard, Cameron Lamoureux and Ben Gazdic with a pair of goals each and Troy Miller with a single tally. Nic Nolet added five assists, Brett Switzer added four assists and Greg Lamoureux added two assists. Goaltender Scott Bowles picked up the victory for the Bears giving up 10 goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Ducks 1 was Jeremy Evans with a hat-trick, Curtis Billsten and Marty Croteau and Kyle Norris with a pair of goals each and Mitch Ferguson with a single marker. Tyler Reid added five assists, Billsten added three assists, Croteau and Ian Scott each added two assists. Goaltender Alex Derry surrendered 13 goals in the loss for the Ducks 1.

The loss snuffed out the Ducks 1's five-game winning streak.

The Bears jumped out to a 13-10 lead when Coyne scored his 15th of the season with 2:16 left in the third period but Norris responded for the Ducks 1 with his third of the season to start the rally.

With the victory, the Bears improve to 16-2-1-0 while the Ducks 1 fall to 13-4-2-0.
