Kemp* nets hat-trick, Icehogs throttle Blades
Calgary, AB – Chris Kemp* scored a hat-trick and added five assists as the Icehogs extended its winning streak to three games with a 17-5 pounding over the Blades at Frank McCool on Tuesday.
Also scoring for the Icehogs was Kevin Free* with a hat-trick, Todd McAleese* with a hat-trick, Derrick Moore* with two goals, Tim Norrick* and Mike Tanton*, Shawn Foster*, Blaine Dobinson*, Aaron Potvin* and Bill Stait* each adding single goals. Norrick* added eight assists, Kemp* added five assists, Free* and Tanton* each added four assists, Moore*, Foster* and Dobinson* each added three assists and McAleese* added two assists. Goaltender Jody Stevens* picked up the victory for the Icehogs giving up five goals.
Scoring for the Blades was Doug Vass*, B Lough, Dave Wind*, Dave Vass* and Marty Paugh* each with single strikes. Vass*, Lough, Jason Linkletter and Rob Beecher* each added two assists. Goaltender Graeme Rowe* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Blades.
With the victory, the Icehogs improve to 16-2-2-0 while the Blades fall to 3-17-0-0.
