Calgary, AB – Gord Matheson scored four goals and added four assists to help the Kings to an 11-6 spanking over the Grasshoppers at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Also scoring for the Kings was Charles Abbott with a hat-trick, Derek Bishop with two goals, Rory Dawson and Trevor Burke each adding a goal. Abbott, Dawson, Dave Durbeniuk and Ryan Richards each added two assists. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm picked up the win for the Kings giving up six goals.

Striking for the Grasshoppers was James Dunphy with a hat-trick and Jeff Metzger, Kirk Hildebrandt and Franco Colapaolo with a goal each. Leighton McDaid added three assists and Duane Smith added two assists. Goaltender Brandon Senholt surrendered 11 goals in the loss for the Grasshoppers.

With the win, the Kings improve to 12-11-2-0 while the Grasshoppers fall to 7-16-3-0.
