Calgary, AB – Curtis Butcher scored five goals and added an assist to help lift the Panthers to an 8-6 victory over the Blackout at Frank McCool on Friday.

Adding markers for the Panthers was Vince Niro and Dean Setoguchi and Tim Holtby each adding single goals. Mike Juhasz added four assists, Todd Kathol added three assists and Niro added two assists. Goaltender T Boepek picked up the victory for the Panthers giving up six goals.

Scoring for the Blackout was Jordan Simard with two goals and Colton Hubeld, Kevin Shaw, Jordan Moe and Jordan Vine each with single strikes. Steve Holford added three assists and Devon Downey added two assists. Goaltender Chase Simard surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Blackout.

With the victory, the Panthers improve to 3-6-2-0 while the Blackout fall to 3-8-0-0.
