Calgary, AB – Kaulin Melnyk scored two goals to help bring the Pirates to a 6-4 triumph over the Schooners at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Completing the scoring for for the Pirates was Gary Yamada with two goals and James Matheson and Mike Davis each contributing with single markers. Kevin Murphy added two assists. Goaltender Rick Windle picked up the victory for the Pirates giving up four goals.

Finding the back of the net for the Schooners was Larry Andrea and Randy Mosher with a pair of goals each . Mark Gaudet and Jason Beals each added two assists. Goaltender Jimmy Farrell surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Schooners.

With the victory, the Pirates improve to 2-4-1-0 while the Schooners fall to 4-4-0-0.
