Calgary, AB – Paul Taylor* scored two goals and added an assist as the Hopewell Hurricanes extended its winning streak to five games with a 8-4 spanking over the Pirates at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Also scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Jeff Snyder* and Brent McClocklin* with a pair of goals each, Jason Downey* and Trevor Hunt* with a goal each. Brent Snyder* and Aaron Cowley* each added two assists. Goaltender Josh Kolba picked up the win for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up 0 goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Pirates was Scott Atkinson*, Ken Muis*, Kevin Murphy* and Darryl Lewis* each adding a goal. Atkinson* added two assists. Goaltender A McNeil surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Pirates.

With the win, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 5-1-0-0 while the Pirates fall to 3-4-0-0.
