Calgary, AB – Cole Hood scored his fourth goal of the season with 3:35 remaining in the third period and Scott Towns scored two goals to help secure the Flying Elbows a victory in a 4-3 victory over the Samsquantches at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Adding markers for the Flying Elbows was Dylan Kempin with a single marker. Francois Dion added two assists. Goaltender Jeremy Ellis picked up the victory for the Flying Elbows giving up three goals.

Providing the offence for the Samsquantches was Nick Boyd with two goals and Tyler Trilsbeck with a single tally. Garrick Paul added two assists. Goaltender Peter Sombyk surrendered four goals in the loss for the Samsquantches.

With the victory, the Flying Elbows improve to 17-1-1-0 while the Samsquantches fall to 5-9-6-0.
