Calgary, AB – Darryl Leray pitched a shutout and Aaron Skotynski scored a hat-trick and added two assists to fuel the IceCats to an 8-0 thrashing over the Golden Horses at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Capping off the scoring for the IceCats was Jarret Orb and John McDonald with a pair of goals each and Rory Shott with a single tally. Orb and Shott each added three assists, Skotynski and Daniel Howland each added two assists.

Goaltender Cole Bertels surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Golden Horses.

With the win, the IceCats improve to 9-7-2-0 while the Golden Horses fall to 2-15-0-0.
