Calgary, AB – Jeff Golby* scored a hat-trick and added an assist as the Melrose Cafe extended their winning streak to three games with a 8-6 win over the Buffaloes at Frank McCool on Friday.

Also scoring for the Melrose Cafe was Jim Gagnon* with two goals, Devin Cupples and Garnet Klassen* and Keith McLarty* each with single strikes. Cupples added three assists, Gagnon*, Dave Quinn* and Mike Mullenix* each added two assists. Goaltender Rick Hoath picked up the victory for the Melrose Cafe giving up 0 goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Buffaloes was Shawn Robillard* with two goals and Cal Murphy*, Justin Huseby*, Matt Acker* and Jay Stewart* each adding single goals. Murphy* added two assists. Goaltender Rich Froese* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Buffaloes.

With the victory, the Melrose Cafe improve to 4-1-0-0 while the Buffaloes fall to 3-2-0-0.
