Calgary, AB – Jordan Vine scored five goals and added two assists to help secure the Blackout a victory in a 12-4 trouncing over the Colts at Optimist on Saturday.

Completing the scoring for for the Blackout was Matt Brosh and Colton Hubeld with a pair of goals each and Steve Holford, Fletcher Taylor and Marcus Head each contributing with single markers. Brennan Yadlowski added four assists, Devon Downey added three assists, Brosh, Holford, Nate Wood, Russell Wazney. Goaltender Chase Simard picked up the victory for the Blackout giving up four goals.

Finding the back of the net for the Colts was Darren McCutcheon with two goals and James Barnes and Ken Toews chipping in with singles. Chris Toews added two assists. Goaltender Wesley Kitchen surrendered 12 goals in the loss for the Colts.

The setback halted the Colts' five-game winning streak.

With the victory, the Blackout improve to 15-9-2-0 while the Colts fall to 16-5-7-0.
