Calgary, AB – Paul Broome scored his first goal of the season with 4:47 remaining in the third period and Jim Gagnon* scored two goals and added two assists to help the Melrose Cafe to an 8-7 win over the Ram Cementer's at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Also scoring for the Melrose Cafe was Keith McLarty* with two goals and Mike Mullenix*, Dave Quinn*, Garnet Klassen* each adding a goal. Mullenix*, Jay Brown*. Goaltender Quinn Morettin picked up the win for the Melrose Cafe giving up 0 goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Ram Cementer's was Tom Charlton* with two goals and Paul Crilly*, Darren Oko*, Grant Clearwater*, Sean Monaghan* and Graham Kidd* with a goal each. Crilly* and Oko* each added two assists. Goaltender Christian Roux* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Ram Cementer's.

The Ram Cementer's jumped out to a 7-4 lead when Monaghan* scored his second of the season with 1:01 left in the second period but Gagnon* responded for the Melrose Cafe with his ninth of the season to start the rally.

With the win, the Melrose Cafe improve to 2-1-0-0 while the Ram Cementer's fall to 0-3-0-0.
