Calgary, AB – Aaron Skotynski scored a hat-trick and added an assist to help secure the IceCats a victory in a 9-2 trouncing over the Blackout at Optimist on Saturday.

Adding markers for the IceCats was Jeremy Savard with two goals, Reggie Lang and Daniel Howland, Jarret Orb and Doug Howland each contributing with single markers. Savard, Lang, Howland and Colin Dyck each added two assists. Goaltender Darryl Leray picked up the victory for the IceCats giving up two goals.

Contributing the only goals for the Blackout was Ryan Wheeler with two goals . Goaltender Chase Simard surrendered nine goals in the loss for the Blackout.

With the victory, the IceCats improve to 4-5-2-0 while the Blackout fall to 7-2-2-0.
