Calgary, AB – Curtis Butcher scored a hat-trick to guide the Panthers to an 11-5 throttling over the Golden Horses at Optimist on Sunday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Panthers was Ying Yuen and Mike Tucker with a pair of goals each and Vince Niro, Tim Holtby, Ken Kornylo and Mike Juhasz chipping in with a goal each. Yuen, Niro and Scott Coe each added three assists, Kornylo, Holtby and Mike Leslie each added two assists. Goaltender Doug Lavers picked up the win for the Panthers giving up five goals.

Cashing in for the Golden Horses was Dayne Demarsh, Tristan Flo, Kevin Sullivan, Jason Goodwin and Tim Wiebe each adding single tallies. Demarsh added three assists. Goaltender Sherman ??? surrendered 11 goals in the loss for the Golden Horses.

With the win, the Panthers improve to 1-3-1-0 while the Golden Horses fall to 0-5-0-0.
