Calgary, AB – Garrick Perry scored a hat-trick and added three assists to fuel the Beefcakes erased a five-goal deficit and to a 9-5 thrashing over the Bears at Village Square on Saturday.

Capping off the scoring for the Beefcakes was Brian Moore and Zach Johnson, Matthew Vanderberg, Ryan Graham, Wes Jardine and Fraser Grant contributing with a goal each. Moore, Johnson and Vanderberg each added two assists. Goaltender Jason Crossland picked up the win for the Beefcakes giving up five goals.

Sniping for the Bears was Dakota Leppa with two goals and Lane Wagner, Kevin Macedo and Troy Miller each tallying single markers. Wagner added two assists. Goaltender Jason Driedger surrendered nine goals in the loss for the Bears.

The Bears jumped out to a 5-0 lead when Wagner scored his first of the season with 11:41 left in the first period but Perry responded for the Beefcakes with his fourth of the season to start the rally.

With the win, the Beefcakes improve to 3-0-1-0 while the Bears fall to 1-2-1-0.
