Calgary, AB – Jordan Vine scored a hat-trick, including the game-winning goal with 0:01 left in overtime, as the Blackout vanquished the Hopewell Hurricanes 7-6 at Southland on Friday.

Completing the scoring for for the Blackout was Devin Ness and Jordan Simard with a pair of goals each. Matt Brosh added two assists. Goaltender Chase Simard picked up the victory for the Blackout giving up six goals.

Finding the twine for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Nick Palmer with two goals and Curtis Ceccanese, Jason Manderson, Jeremy Kostiuk and Brandon Fong each tallying single markers. Ceccanese added two assists. Goaltender Steve Tolhurst surrendered seven goals in the loss for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

With the victory, the Blackout improve to 2-0-0-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes fall to 0-0-0-1.
