Calgary, AB – Aaron Cowley scored a hat-trick and added three assists for the Hopewell Hurricanes and Tom Mazor scored two goals and added two assists for the Tailgaters as the teams fought to a 8-8 tie at Optimist on Sunday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Tailgaters was Mat Davis, Josh Herrick, Trevor Chown, Matt Patterson and Jack Wallace chipping in with a goal each. Herrick added three assists, Davis, Chown, Ryan Agrey. Goaltender Todd Bettison surrendered eight goals in the tie for the Tailgaters.

Rounding out the scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Andrew Keats with two goals and Chris Davidson, Keegan Braaten and Alex Chow each adding single tallies. Cowley, Davidson and Braaten each added three assists, Keats and Jason Manderson each added two assists. Goaltender Steve Tolhurst gave up eight goals in the tie for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

After the tie, the Hopewell Hurricanes have a record of 12-3-4-0 while the Tailgaters move to 7-12-1-0.
