Calgary, AB – Brent Phelps scored two goals and added an assist for the Mustangs and Jason Manderson scored two goals and added an assist for the Hopewell Hurricanes as the teams fought to a 5-5 tie at Optimist on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Matt Clenchy, Nick Palmer and Aaron Cowley each adding a goal. Andrew Keats and Alex Chow each added two assists. Goaltender Ethan Allary surrendered five goals in the tie for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

Also scoring for the Mustangs was Aaron Merkosky and Jordan Emmerson with a single tally. Emmerson added two assists. Goaltender JF Voyer gave up five goals in the tie for the Mustangs.

After the tie, the Mustangs have a record of 5-14-1-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes move to 12-3-3-0.
