Calgary, AB – Jordan Emmerson scored a hat-trick including his 14th goal of the season with 1:34 remaining in the second period and and added an assist to fuel the Mustangs to a 6-5 triumph over the IceCats at Optimist on Saturday.

Capping off the scoring for the Mustangs was Brent Phelps and Darryl MacDonald and Denis Blaquiere contributing with a goal each. Phelps added three assists and Kyle Dixon added two assists. Goaltender JF Voyer picked up the win for the Mustangs giving up five goals.

Finding the twine for the IceCats was Spencer Didrikson with two goals and Mike Cummer, Doug Howland and Harley Cummer each tallying single markers. Cummer, Dan Tall and Ben Wheeler each added two assists. Goaltender Darryl Leray surrendered six goals in the loss for the IceCats.

With the win, the Mustangs improve to 5-12-0-0 while the IceCats fall to 5-12-0-0.
