Calgary, AB – Ryan Richards scored a hat-trick and added two assists to help the Sofa Kings to a 12-5 spanking over the Zoost at Optimist on Sunday.

Also scoring for the Sofa Kings was Lane Montgomery with a hat-trick, Gord Matheson and Jeremy Salomons with a pair of goals each and Rory Dawson and Richard Smythe each adding a goal. Lyle Armitage added five assists, Regan Yeager added four assists, Dawson added three assists, Brian Ceelen, Brady Broderson. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm picked up the win for the Sofa Kings giving up five goals.

Striking for the Zoost was Carson Taylor with two goals and Cullen Wanvig, Will Carter and Ryan Monk with a goal each. Taylor added three assists and Dylan Houle added two assists. Goaltender Zee Hamilton surrendered 12 goals in the loss for the Zoost.

With the win, the Sofa Kings improve to 2-3-2-0 while the Zoost fall to 3-2-2-0.
