Calgary, AB – Carson Taylor scored six goals including his 19th goal of the season with 3:52 remaining in the third period and and added an assist to help support the Zoost in an 8-7 victory over the Sofa Kings at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Adding markers for the Zoost was Zach Carter and Ryan Monk each contributing with single markers. Will Carter added two assists. Goaltender Zee Hamilton picked up the victory for the Zoost giving up seven goals.

Providing the offence for the Sofa Kings was Ryan Richards and Brady Broderson with a pair of goals each, Gord Matheson, Lyle Armitage and Brian Ceelen with a goal each. Richards, Matheson and Richard Smythe each added two assists. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Sofa Kings.

The Sofa Kings jumped out to a 5-2 lead when Matheson scored his second of the season with 0:19 left in the first period but Taylor responded for the Zoost with his 16th of the season to start the rally.

With the victory, the Zoost improve to 3-0-2-0 while the Sofa Kings fall to 1-3-2-0.
