Cooper tallies pair, IceCats edge Blackout
Calgary, AB – Nik Cooper scored two goals including his second goal of the season with 7:06 remaining in the third period and and added an assist to lead the IceCats to a 3-2 triumph over the Blackout at Shouldice on Monday.
Completing the scoring for for the IceCats was and Mark Sproxton with a single tally. Goaltender Darryl Leray picked up the victory for the IceCats giving up two goals.
Finding the twine for the Blackout was Michael Tamaki and Nick Monroe chipping in with a goal each. Goaltender Chase Simard surrendered three goals in the loss for the Blackout.
With the victory, the IceCats improve to 1-1-0-0 while the Blackout fall to 2-1-0-0.
