Calgary, AB – Jason Manderson scored two goals and added two assists to guide the Hopewell Hurricanes to a 9-3 throttling over the IceCats at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Ted Higa with two goals and Curtis Ceccanese, Trevor Ceccanese, Andrew Keats, Patrick Goodwyn and Nick Palmer each adding single tallies. Ceccanese added three assists, Manderson and Brandon Fong each added two assists. Goaltender Ethan Alrey picked up the win for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up three goals.

Cashing in for the IceCats was Jordan Wilkins, Rob Walker and Mark Sproxton chipping in with a goal each. Goaltender Troy McMeil surrendered nine goals in the loss for the IceCats.

With the win, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 22-4-3-0 while the IceCats fall to 11-13-4-0.
