Calgary, AB – Cody Halleran scored his second goal of the season with 4:06 remaining in the second period and Alex Ponich scored a hat-trick and added four assists as the Icemen extended their winning streak to five games with a 7-6 win over the Blazers at Village Square on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Icemen was C Sanschagrin and Chris Burchell, Brian Patterson each adding a goal. Sanschagrin added three assists, Burchell added two assists. Goaltender Jared Macdonald picked up the win for the Icemen giving up six goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Blazers was Peter Jones with two goals and David Reimer, Quinn Logan, Adam Adair and Aaron Brandon each adding single goals. Jake Mandin, Brent Robinson and Aaron Mckay each added two assists. Goaltender Jack Moddle surrendered seven goals in the loss for the Blazers.

With the win, the Icemen improve to 5-1-0-0 while the Blazers fall to 0-5-0-0.
