Calgary, AB – Brent Phelps scored two goals and added an assist to help the Mustangs to an 8-6 win over the Flying Elbows at Norma Bush on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Mustangs was Colin Baillargeon and Darryl MacDonald, Jeff Zimmer, Rob Baillargeon, Troy Nowakowski and Taylor Johnson with a goal each. Joel Merkosky added four assists and Matt Cook added two assists. Goaltender JF Voyer picked up the win for the Mustangs giving up six goals.

Striking for the Flying Elbows was Tim Fournier and Rick Roles with a pair of goals each, Colin Oke and Shaun Kos each adding a goal. Jason Oke added four assists and Scott Towns added three assists. Goaltender Allan Manz surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Flying Elbows.

With the win, the Mustangs improve to 14-8-3-0 while the Flying Elbows fall to 13-11-2-0.
