Simard tallies five, Blackout spank Knights
Calgary, AB – Jordan Simard scored five goals and added two assists to fuel the Blackout to a 17-6 thrashing over the Knights at Norma Bush on Saturday.
Capping off the scoring for the Blackout was Jordan Vine with four strikes, Nathan Wood with a hat-trick, Devin Ness with two goals, Fletcher Taylor and Nick Monroe and Devon Downey chipping in with a goal each. Ness, Taylor and Taylor Edwards each added five assists, Craig Bloom. Goaltender Chase Simard picked up the win for the Blackout giving up six goals.
Finding the twine for the Knights was Matthew Cundall with two goals and Jeremy Church, Mike Cundall, Taylor Lewis and Steve Hicks each tallying single markers. Chris Young added three assists, Rob Baillargeon and Shawn Calafatis each added two assists. Goaltender Trevor Sedgwick surrendered 17 goals in the loss for the Knights.
With the win, the Blackout improve to 12-10-3-0 while the Knights fall to 1-20-3-0.
